The Grand Doors Of Delhi 6
Delhi 6 became popular when in 2009, a  Bollywood movie was named after it. People who are unaware of the origin, Delhi 6 is a pin code in Old Delhi, also written as 110006.
Delhi, the capital of India is divided into Old Delhi and New Delhi.
New Delhi has booming real estate, colleges, monuments, museums, institutes and government offices and of course a huge population live here. Old Delhi, is a walled city, formed by Mughal emperor Shahjahan in 1639. It was the capital of Mughals until the end of Mughal dynasty.
Old Delhi preserves some of the oldest monuments from the Mughal dynasty like Jama Masjid, Lal Quila and places like Daryaganj, Chawri Bazar, Cahndni Chowk etc.
Preeminent persian and urdu poet Mirza Ghalib was the resident of Gali Qasim Jaan, Ballimaran, which also comes under Delhi 6 constituency of the legislative assembly.
While visiting the busy bazaars of Delhi 6, we walk passed a street in which there were many beautiful old doors made of brass and wood. The carving and hand painting on these doors tell a story. So, we clicked a few pictures to treasure this memory.

After looking at these doors, it feels like we could have done a better job of preserving them. People still live behind these doors.

Plants look just perfect and merge with the colors of the doors.

The air conditioning units are annoying but a necessity in Delhi's hot weather.
More pictures.
Oh...I noticed a Christmas tree there :)
